Advanced Canskate
The Advanced Canskate group is an advanced learn to skate program for higher level Canskaters interested in going into Figure Skating. The major difference between Canskate and Advanced Canskate is the additional 1 hour and 15 minutes of ice time per week, more challenging skills, and total ice development exercises. The skaters spend 1 hour on ice (2 days per week) with a Professional Coach. The ice will be shared with Junior Star Skaters offering a look at what advancing will be like.
Pre-PowerSkate

Lessons are given in a group format and led by a certified NCCP and Power skate coach. For safety reasons participants should wear full hockey/ ringette equipment that is CSA approved. Skaters should be able to skate forward, backward and be able to stop.
STARSkate
Strictly Figure Skating, the STAR program gives skaters an opportunity to try Skate Canada tests and / or attend local, provincial, national, world and Olympic level competitions. The Skate Canada STAR Skate program offers skaters a chance to take optional tests in free skating, ice dancing, skating skills and several other areas. These tests challenge a skater to learn and develop more advanced figure skating skills. Test Skaters work independently and with group and/or private coaches to attain certificates from Preliminary to Gold. Recommended for higher level CanSkaters or skaters interested in taking up the sport of Figure Skating.
Junior, Intermediate and Senior Star Skaters may skate 2 to 5 days per week and costs are based on the number of hours per week the skater has chosen to skate.
A Base Registration fee is applied and then extra ice time is added to this. Please note that costs are for ice time only, coaching fees are additional.
All Star Skills Development
This exciting new session will be offered to all Starskaters from the Jr to Sr Levels this season! We will be working on a variety of important skill development for the skaters. The skaters need an understanding of how to use their edges and turns to develop an excellent warmup. This session will work on developing self motivation and learning how to train "smart" and independently, so ice time is not wasted. They will have goals to achieve for incentives (fun stuff/prizes). They'll learn to combine turns and edges with upper body choreography and movement. Learning how to finish elements with poise, etc. We will use music & different rhythm exercises to develop the skaters ability to interpret music using all their basic skills! Please note that costs are for ice time only. Coaching fees are additional.
Extra Ice
This is time for Star Skaters to spend a bit of extra time working on their skills. Generally held before school at that Art Hauser. It is mostly self directed.
